The Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine has approved a one-time payment of 100,000 UAH for Ukrainians freed from Russian captivity. In addition, each year, former captives and the families of those still imprisoned will receive 100,000 UAH for every year of captivity. The Charity Fund "Direct Inclusion" explains how to apply for this assistance.

A special commission at the Ministry will confirm the fact of captivity. The commission includes government officials and representatives from relevant NGOs. To establish proof of captivity, you need to:

1. Fill out the application form, which can be downloaded here. Family members or legal representatives of the captive can submit the application.

2. Attach documents proving that both the captive and the applicant are Ukrainian citizens. You will also need to provide certificates that confirm the deprivation of freedom, whether the captive is a military member or a civilian. If available, include an extract from the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations (ERDR).

3. Send the documents by mail to the Ministry’s address or by email to info-gr@minre.gov.ua.

4. After reviewing, the commission will send a notification with the results of the examination.

At the same time, you can request financial assistance using the form available here.
