"National Cashback" Program Launched: What Does It Offer?
05.09.2024
This week, Ukraine rolled out its "National Cashback" program, allowing consumers to get a 10% refund on purchases of domestically made products.
More than 300 manufacturers, financial institutions, and over 20,000 retailers (excluding sole proprietors) registered through the "Diia" app to participate just days before the program launched. Together, they offer more than 37,000 products listed on the "Made in Ukraine" website. The largest retail chains in the country are among the participants, and the list is continuously expanding.
The government aims to support Ukrainian manufacturers and boost the economy during these challenging times. Consumers benefit as well, enjoying lower prices while maintaining product quality.
How Does the Cashback Work?
Users must register through the "Diia" app to start receiving cashback. Once registered, they will accumulate cashback that can be used for future purchases.
Important Details from "Direct Inclusion"
It's important to note that the cashback program does not cover excise goods, such as alcohol, tobacco, or fuel. Monthly refunds can range from 2 to 3,000 UAH, credited to the personal social account. The program only applies to cashless payments, and transactions are verified via fiscal receipts.
You can check the accumulated cashback in the "Diia" app the day after purchasing. Cashback payments will be available on a monthly basis up to the 20th of each month.
Currently, the program is scheduled to end on January 31, 2025, but if it proves successful, it may be extended and expanded.
What Can You Spend Your Cashback On?
You can use your cashback to pay for:
- Utilities or medical services;
- Sports activities;
- Cinema or theater tickets;
- Dining at restaurants;
- Public transportation fares;
- Mobile phone service fees;
- Donations to the Ukrainian Armed Forces or military bonds.
