Russian propaganda claims to «liberate» Ukraine from supposed «Nazism», while many Russian soldiers openly embrace fascist ideologies, pagan rituals involving violent sacrifices, and a disturbing drive for cruelty. This is the dark face of the "Russian world."

Today’s article centers on Oleksiy Milchakov, a particularly notorious figure from St. Petersburg. Known as a neo-Nazi, Milchakov attracted attention by posting disturbing photos of a mutilated two-month-old puppy he killed and ate, boasting about it online.

Milchakov’s cruelty started in his teenage years. He often posted photos with swastikas and Nazi Germany’s flags and openly idolized Hitler. His social media page in VK contains inhumane posts from as early as 2011, where he advocated for the mass killing of dogs, homeless people, and children. He took perverse pleasure in torturing animals, prolonging their suffering, documenting the acts, and adding commentary. He even referred to the puppy he tortured as a «tasty kebab».

Eventually, Milchakov joined the Russian military, serving with the sabotage and reconnaissance group «Rusich». In interviews, he openly admitted that he enjoys and excels at killing. Soon, his animal torture photos were joined by images of him posing beside the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers. He took gruesome trophies, such as cutting off ears and marking bodies with swastikas.

The Kremlin’s stance toward Milchakov is revealing. They manipulate his story for propaganda, even describing him in one brochure as a «Belarusian Nazi fighting for Ukraine» to boost morale among Russian troops. This lie quickly unraveled, raising questions about his actual role. Russia has also organized interviews with Milchakov, where he portrays himself as a patriot, claiming he fights out of love for his homeland. However, the Telegram channel he administers spreads violent, hateful narratives that disregard all norms of humanity.

Russia seems content to keep figures like Milchakov in its ranks, knowing they need no incentive to kill — they commit acts of violence willingly. For public perception, the Kremlin produces a few softened videos of him, glossing over the disturbing details they don’t want people to see.

We won’t let the atrocities of Oleksiy Milchakov and others like him go unnoticed. Such deranged criminals should be isolated from society, not celebrated as heroes, as Russia seems eager to do.
