Ukrainian soldiers receive various types and severity injuries daily; some wounds can heal quickly, while others require months of rehabilitation. Only a few people know that the government has established payments for those injured in combat missions. The charity fund "Pryame Vklyuchennya" will explain who can apply for these payments and who cannot.

More information about the assistance:

  • According to the current legislation of Ukraine, soldiers who have been wounded in the battle directly at the front line can count on several types of financial support simultaneously:
  • " Сombat" 100 thousand hryvnias, according to the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine;
  • Financial support (salary);
  • One-time assistance, according to another Cabinet of Ministers' resolution.

The amount of one-time financial assistance depends on certain factors, including the consequences of the injury. In case of a disability, you should be guided by the established group:

  • 400 subsistence minimums for persons with group I disabilities (currently UAH 1,073,600);
  • 300 subsistence minimums for persons with group II disabilities (currently UAH 805,200);
  • 250 subsistence minimums for persons with group III disabilities (currently UAH 671,000).

In case the injury made the defender partially incapacitated, but disability was not granted, the amount of payment will be from 50 to 70 subsistence minimums (134,200-187,880 thousand hryvnias).

How to get such assistance from the state?

To apply for this type of payment, a Ukrainian military should contact the head of the Regional Staff Military Medical Commission or the Central Military Medical Commission of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. You can request the list of necessary documents from the relevant institutions.

Which soldiers do not receive any compensation?

  • These state payments are provided only to soldiers injured or wounded during combat missions. In case of other circumstances, financial assistance is not provided. The situations may be the following:
  • If the defender was at the moment of getting injured outside the military headquarters (for example, on leave at the place of residence);
  • If the injury is caused by alcohol or drug poisoning (intoxication)
  • If the injury is caused by the use of service weapons or vehicles for personal purposes;
  • If the harm to the soldier's health was intentional;
  • If the soldier left the place of service without permission and got injured;
  • in cases of natural death or suicide.

The charitable foundation "Pryame Vklyuchennya" notes, in any case, before granting payments, an expert examination is established to verify compliance with all these criteria.
