The war that has broken out on the territory of our state destroys hundreds of lives of ordinary people every day. Russian war criminals cynically destroy the homes of Ukrainians, leaving them homeless and taking away their health. The level of disability of the population has increased significantly. That is why the demand for prosthetics at state expense has increased. Who can apply for such social guarantees, and what documents should be submitted to the TsNAP, we tell you further.

People eligible for free rehabilitation

The legislation of Ukraine defines a clear list of categories of citizens who can apply for free prosthetics:

  • Elderly people;
  • Military personnel;
  • People with disabilities (including children);
  • Women after breast resection, quadrantectomy, mastectomy;
  • Minors with disorders of the musculoskeletal system;
  • Veterans of law enforcement structures of Ukraine, the categories of which are defined by law.

How to apply for a prosthesis?

In order to receive rehabilitation means, a person with a disability or his or her guardian must apply to the local TsNAP or social security agency and submit the corresponding application. This can also be done via an electronic cabinet or Diia app. You must have the following documents with you (scanned copies):

  • Passport of citizen of Ukraine / birth certificate / permanent residence permit;
  • Taxpayer identification number;
  • Conclusion of MSEC (for adults) or medical and advisory commission (for children) if the person has a disability and applies for the first time;
  • Certificate confirming the right to receive preferential service;
  • Certificate of education/service/workplace (original);
  • Individual rehabilitation program.
