While there is a war going on in our country, the threat of rocket attacks remains in absolutely every region of the country. Unfortunately, the rule of “two walls” does not always work, so it is extremely important to know what to do in case you find yourself under the rubble of a building. Familiarize yourself with them now and be sure to tell your family and friends to avoid tragic consequences.

Don't stop screaming

Rescuers say that if the house was hit by an enemy shell and you remained conscious, there is one universal and golden rule: don't panic. This may seem like a trivial statement, but in fact calming yourself down is the best thing you can do, because the person can faint from excessive stress and calling for rescue, of course, will no longer be possible.

With a high probability, the rescuers are already on their way to help you. While waiting for them, yell that you are inside. If there is a phone nearby and you are physically able to use it, notify people who live nearby about where you are and what happened to you.

What to do if no one hears your cries for help?

Give an objective assessment of the situation. See if your body is blocked by the building's debris and think about whether you could get out of the rubble yourself. This should be done very carefully, because there is a huge risk of hitting the structure that holds everything together. If no one can hear you from the outside, release your limbs one by one without unnecessary movements and move toward the open space.

In such a situation, it is better not to be heroic, if there are doubts about your abilities, it is better to patiently wait for the rescuers.

Finally, when you've managed to completely get out of the rubble, check your body for injuries and wait for the ambulance to arrive. You may not feel pain due to the shock you received, so it is better to go to the hospital for an examination. While paramedics rush to the scene, find a blanket/clothing and put it over your body. It is very important to avoid hypothermia.
