The heating season has already started in different regions of the country, so it is time to take care of the stock of firewood for those owners of private homes who have not yet done so. In order to provide heat to the maximum number of Ukrainians, the state has introduced a DrovаЕ resource - an online store, the sellers of which are the forestry enterprises. In this article we will tell you about the assortment of the virtual store and the conditions for purchasing firewood.

How to make an order?

Most recently, the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine announced the launch of the DrovaE service. From now on, citizens of our country can order firewood directly from the forestry enterprise of their territorial community. To do this, you need to register on the portal by following the link. It is easy enough to do it:

  • Log in using banking (a similar authorization procedure is created for the Diia app);
  • Specify the delivery address and the amount of firewood. There is a limit: yes, one person can order no more than 15 cubic meters of firewood per calendar year;
  • Choose the method of reception: self-delivery or delivery to the address;
  • Confirm the order and pay for it.

When you receive firewood, you must show the ID card and the taxpayer identification number of the person who ordered the delivery.

What kind of firewood is offered?

The DrovaE website offers a scheme for determining the volume of chopped and not chopped logs. You can also find out about the type of wood that is best for heating. The following are presented for comparison:

  • oak;
  • beech;
  • hornbeam;
  • pine;
  • alder;
  • poplar;
  • aspen;
  • willow.

The exact properties are indicated for each type of wood: volumetric calorific value, calorific value and combustion temperature. In addition, on DrovaE website next to each type of wood the amount of natural gas that can replace its cubic meter is indicated.

It should be borne in mind that the variety of wood types depends on the forestry enterprise you choose. Each region of the country will have a different assortment due to its natural characteristics.

Where does the wood come from?

As the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Ukraine Ruslan Strelets himself says, no one deliberately cuts down forests for the sake of the DrovaE initiative. Instead, unused volumes from the state reserves of previous years are being sold.

How much does this service cost?

Prices also depend mainly on forestry enterprise and your location. For example, for residents of Kiev region there are offered not chopped firewood from common pine from such forestry enterprises:

Kyiv - UAH 1,140 /cubic meter

Boryspil - UAH 680.20 /cubic meter

Vyshedubechanskе - UAH 761.50 /cubic meter.
