Free Delivery of Medications to Frontline and War-Affected Areas: How to Access It
01.08.2024
Recently, Ukrposhta launched the "Ukrposhta. Pharmacy" initiative, allowing Ukrainian citizens to receive ordered medications for free at any company branch. This benefit also extends to de-occupied and frontline areas temporarily lacking local pharmacy supplies.
Thanks to this initiative, anyone in need can find and purchase necessary medications at affordable prices.
This program covers the following regions: Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, and Sumy.
The Charity Fund "Direct Inclusion" compelled three easy steps to follow to order this service:
- Call the hotline at 0 800 300 545. Use the voice menu to connect with a specialist and specify the medications needed for delivery. For prescription medications or those under the "Affordable Medicines" program, provide the prescription number (16 digits) and the 4-digit code indicating its validity.
- Wait for the package to arrive via the "Ukrposhta Express" system at the nearest branch. Delivery is free of charge.
- Once you receive an SMS notification about the arrival of your order, you can pick it up. You are allowed to inspect the package.
The program covers over-the-counter and prescription medications under the "Affordable Medicines" system.
Delivery takes three days, excluding the day of transportation between regions. Packages can be stored at the branch for up to 7 calendar days.
