Today, some regions of Ukraine are under full or partial occupation. In particular, we are talking about Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, in which after February 24 the enemy established its "administrations" and declared a pro-Russian political course. The war is still going on, and Ukrainian soldiers are making a lot of efforts to retake every settlement. And while the AFU courageously carry out their work, the residents of the temporarily occupied territories should take care of their own safety. In this article, we will talk about the rules of behavior in territories not controlled by Ukraine.

Priority actions

If you found yourself under occupation without the possibility to evacuate through the "green corridor" to Ukraine, you should not try to escape on your own. There are hundreds of cases, when Russian military were shooting civilians, who tried to escape. Do not expect that you will be able to come to an agreement – there is even possibility, when enemy will sent you to a filtration camp, and later to Russia.

First of all, find out who will be able to provide you with medical care in case of need: contact your doctor and write down the address of the nearest hospital.

Prepare supplies of water, food and medicine in case the provision of goods in the occupied zone turns out to be impossible due to the intensity of hostilities.

If possible, gather all relatives in one place - this way it will be much easier to help each other in conditions of unstable communication and periodic shelling.

Communication and information consumption

You should immediately remember the rule: "think, but do not speak." Do not provoke the occupiers and members of the "city administration" with your patriotic statements, even on the Internet. Self-proclaimed "leaders" can execute you and your relatives for the slightest manifestation of aggression. The opportunity to express yourself will definitely appear, but now consider the main task to survive in the conditions of freedom restrictions.

Avoid watching Russian TV channels and other media. The main goal of the enemy is to disorient you and make you think that the way it is now will always be the same. Don't trust a word they say. If possible, follow the official pages of government structures of Ukraine, for example, on Telegram (without subscribing to it).

Another important rule is to delete all information from your gadgets before going outside. There is a high probability that the occupiers will check the phone for pro-Ukrainian messages. You can be accused of sabotage. To avoid conflicting situations, clear even the history of browsers and photo film.

Do not be afraid to delete photos with Ukrainian symbols and patriotic slogans from social networks. Do not like or comment any posts. Also, check that there are no photos of the occupiers' equipment or their symbols left on the device. Otherwise, you may be accused of transferring data to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Leave a photo of your family, pets and flowers. The invaders must think that you are not interested in politics and war, then there will be no questions.

Do not use public network hotspots. Also remember that your phone is being tapped. Create the appearance of regular correspondence in messengers so that they do not look empty. Move all dangerous conversations to hidden chats. Don't forget to clear all the notes!

Finally, during the occupation period, you should not communicate with anyone about the current situation and your attitude towards it. Even your acquaintances can turn out to be collaborators. In your own home, try not to start loud conversations that the neighbors could hear. This is a simple rule that should not be underestimated.

What to do in case of contact with the Russian military?

The main thing when meeting with the occupiers is to behave as calmly and "comfortably" as possible. Answer all questions clearly and concisely. Do not ask anything from the military and do not provoke them. Under no circumstances should you film or record a conversation with such persons.

If the invaders ask you about the lack of correspondence with friends, you can answer that you do not know where they are, because you have been out of touch for a long time and communication has been interrupted. It is generally not desirable to use the phone outside.

Don't dress too brightly. During the occupation, it is worth refusing even from unnatural hair tone, so as not to be interrogated.

Do what the military tells you and don't mess around. Do not show contempt, pretend that you understand everything and will not resist.

Mutual aid and protection

Even during the period of occupation, it is worth showing solidarity. If you know people with disabilities, pensioners or families with children - offer them help. Stick together and share true and verified information with each other.

If you have been separated from your relatives or caused any damage, contact the SBU chat with photo and video evidence, and then delete all searches and correspondence for yourself. After regaining control over the occupied territories, all guilty Russian criminals will be found and prosecuted. It will be possible to do it faster thanks to such materials.

The main thing to remember is that the occupation is temporary. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are working around the clock to return you to a peaceful life. In no case do not consider yourself a traitor for following the rules of the occupiers. Wait for victory and take care of yourself!
