Ukraine continues to work on a compensation system for victims of war. The Registry of Damages Caused by Russia's aggression against Ukraine (RD4U) was launched in April. This special international tool is aimed at documenting the damage caused by hostilities and providing reparations to the victims. Applications can be submitted by citizens of our state, representatives of business, and government officials. There will be a total of 40 categories of losses and damages. The project will be implemented in stages.

The Registry is already accepting applications for destroyed or damaged residential property since this category has the most digitized and documented evidence of the criminal actions of the terrorist state. The application can be submitted by those who have used the "yeVidnovlennia " program, documented damage to the property in the Registry of Destroyed and Damaged Property, and have a Housing Inspection Report provided by local government bodies. Eventually, all owners of destroyed housing, even if they are located in temporarily occupied territories, will have the opportunity to submit applications. You can keep informed on the RD4U website.

It should be noted that only those who have property rights to the damaged residential real estate can submit applications. This data must be entered into the State Register of Property Rights to Real Estate. Contact the relevant authorities or use the "Diya" app to do this. If it is impossible to register the property yourself, you need to provide evidence that you tried to do so but were refused to register.

Submitting an application for compensation for damages is made easy with the 'Diya' app. This mobile application allows you to track the status of your application and automatically adds documents from digital databases. If needed, you can also attach files manually. Remember, the more evidence of damage you can provide, the better. However, it's important to note that the Damage Registry does not pay compensation at the moment, as Ukraine and international partners are still working on a mechanism for reparations.

The Ministry of Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories has stated that other categories of war-affected individuals can also submit their applications to the Registry throughout the year. Health loss, torture, violence, deportation, etc., are among the additional categories.
