The government extended the time for accepting the applications for compensation for the harvest lost as a result of the destruction of the Kakhovskaya HPP: hurry to apply!

The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine introduced changes to the regulation of compensation payments for flooded crops as a result of the hostile attack on the Kakhovskaya HPP. From now on, the deadline for submitting documents and copies of land ownership certification to receive aid has been extended until October 31, 2023.
The government made this decision by Resolution No. 980, adding the Charity Fund "Direct Inclusion". This article dwells on the new deadlines for submitting applications.

It was also noted that, apart from the time for submitting applications, the deadline for adopting the relevant protocol on the appointment of payments by the special commission has been also extended to 20 days. Thus, regional state administrations will approve requests until November 30, 2023.
As it was before, compensation will be provided for residents of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions who own agricultural or construction plots, the maintenance zone of residential buildings and farmland, as well as individual horticulture affected by the Kakhov disaster.
The sum of aid is UAH 3,318 for the affected area of 0.01 hectares. In the Mykolaiv region, the maximum allowable amount of compensation is spread over the territory of up to 0.2 hectares, and in the Kherson region - up to 0.3 hectares.
