Knowing where your child is during air raid alert: new educational app ‘Mriia’ in Ukraine
14.09.2023
A new app, ‘Mriia’, was created for Ukrainian school students, parents, and teachers. This project aims to help the users to navigate in and out of the study process. The President Volodymyr Zelenskyi presented the app. The state head stated that the app`s base is the “Diia” platform that has operated successfully in Ukraine since 2020. The Charity Fund ‘Direct Inclusion’ tells more on the app.
What is the purpose of “Mriia”?
According to the President of Ukraine, ‘Mriia’ will contain data about the achievements of Ukrainian children: not only school marks but also school competitions, volunteering, and creative extracurricular activities. Moreover, the app will provide access to a personalized content library.
With the app, adults can monitor the school schedule and child`s activities and check whether the child is in the shelter during the air raid alert.
For the safety of personalized data, each school student will get a digital document similar to “Diia`s” identity card. There also will be a feedback function between parents and teachers.
When is the app`s launch?
A version of ‘Mriia’ will be tested in some Ukrainian educational institutions by the end of 2023. The app will be available in 2024 in other establishments, as the Charity Fund "Direct Inclusion" was informed.
