Victims of the explosion at the Kakhovka HPP can receive compensation for their lost crops. How to get it?
11.08.2023
Residents of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, who lost their crops, land plots for farming, outbuildings, and gardening areas because of the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station by the Russian occupiers, can receive financial support from the Ukrainian government. The Charitable Foundation "Direct Inclusion" knows how much you can get and how to apply.
What is the amount of assistance?
The Ministry of Reintegration reports that the amount of financial support depends on certain factors. Thus, in general terms, it is defined as UAH 3,318 per 0.01 hectares of the lost vegetable garden. The maximum amount of assistance in the Mykolaiv region can reach UAH 66,360 per person with an area limit of 0.2 hectares, and in the Kherson region – UAH 99,540, up to 0.3 hectares. It is important to note that a person applying for state funds must have ownership of the affected territory.
What do you need to apply?
You need to apply to a special commission convened by the military administration of the settlement that will be surveying the land. Such groups will help residents of the flooded areas of Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, which local authorities identified as disaster-affected.
List of documents required to apply for assistance
- an application in paper or electronic form according to the sample posted on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers;
- a copy of the document confirming the ownership of the affected land plot.
The Commission considers applications for assistance within ten working days, and after it inspects the areas where crops have died, and draws up a relevant inspection report. This document will be used to determine the further amount of support. The Commission will send a list of recipients to the regional military authorities.
The deadline for the DMA to make reimbursement decisions is October 1 of this year. The funds will be transferred to the financial accounts of the victims.
The Charitable Foundation "Direct Inclusion" reminds us of the application deadline – August 31, 2023. Please inform your loved ones affected by the terrorist attack about the opportunity to receive help.
