The Ministry of Health has announced on its social media channels that it has updated the "Are you OK?" program, which aims to provide the Ukrainian population with knowledge about psychological self-help. The Charitable Foundation "Direct Inclusion" will discuss what kind of project it is and what formats of information perception it offers.

What do you know about the initiative?

"Are you OK?" is a joint project of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the NGO "Barrier-Free," and the World Health Organization, created at the initiative of First Lady Olena Zelenska. Its main goal is to create a culture of caring for mental health among the population and help them overcome stressful situations with simple and understandable tools.

Project researchers have found that almost 50% of Ukrainians will have an acute problem with psychological help in the coming years. Most of them can cope with the destructive condition independently, knowing how to do it correctly.

What can you find on the service?

Every Ukrainian can get professional advice from "Are you OK?" and it's free. The project's website has advice for those who need support and those who are ready to provide it. A collection of exercises for self-soothing and resilience, the Psychological First Aid Kit, contains techniques for relieving tension in the body, distracting from disturbing thoughts, emotional stability, and even helping others.

"Are you OK?" also offers a lot of video materials. The project's videos feature well-known Ukrainian personalities such as Svitlana Tarabarova, Solomiya Vitvitska, Oleksandra Zaritska, and Zlata Ognevich. They demonstrate the best ways to overcome stress and share their fears and experiences.

In addition, the campaign's website also provides phone numbers of national psychological support lines and links to similar support resources.

Don't forget about psychological health

The Charitable Foundation "Direct Inclusion" always advises Ukrainians to seek professional help if they need it. It is natural to feel anxious in today's realities, but this does not mean this condition can be ignored. In order not to face long-term consequences later, start recovery work now.
