Every day of 2023 was another day of war in Ukraine. Three hundred sixty-five days of air strikes, missile attacks, destruction, pain, tears, fear, and one wish for everyone - to finally have victory. Someone met the new 2024 year with the family, someone - in a new city with the status of an internally displaced person. And many spent New Year's Eve in a cold trench, fighting for the rest for another relatively calm day at home.

Volunteers of the charity fund "Direct Inclusion" are among those who have worked tirelessly to get peace all year long. So, who received support from us during these 12 months, and in what amounts? Let's summarize together.

Children

Children are one of the largest categories of citizens who received help from "Direct Inclusion" last year. Schools, boarding schools, orphanages, children with physical disabilities - we processed several hundred applications for assistance to little Ukrainians and satisfied more than 100 of them. In particular, in 2023, support was received by:

• dozens of Ukrainian families with children;

• Public Institution "Verkhnyodniprovsk Children's Boarding House No. 2";

• Ohmatdyt National Children's Specialized Hospital;

• PI "Voznesensk special school";

• PI "Dashiv special school" of the Vinnytsia regional council;

• Vinnytsia educational and methodological center;

• Kyiv City Heart Center (children's department);

• Kryvyi Rih specialized children's house;

• PI "Odesa special school No. 91" of the Odesa regional council;

• Kramatorsk children's home "Antoshka";

• Vinnytsia specialized orphanage;

• PI "Staroprylutsk Special School" of the Vinnytsia regional council;

• Nizhin orphanage-boarding house;

• PI "Kryvyorizhsk Center of Medical Rehabilitation and Palliative Care for Children";

• Municipal Non-Profit Enterprise "Vinnytsia Regional Specialized Home For Children With Damage To The Central Nervous System And Mental Disorders Of The Vinnytsia Regional Council";

• Vinnytsia training and rehabilitation center "Hnizdechko" of the Vinnytsia Regional Council;

• Zelenogai Special School of the Kharkiv Regional Council;

• Ponornytskyi psychoneurological boarding school;

• PI "Stepivsky Children's Boarding School";

• Zabolotiv special school of the Volyn regional council;

• PI of Central Committee of the Sumy Regional Council "Ulyaniv Special School."

Soldiers and military units

Obviously, as in 2022, we continued assisting the defenders, who needed large amounts of ammunition to be transported as quickly as possible. For the safety of those men and women, we will not name the military units and brigades; we will only say that there was a lot of support. Here is just a part of what we transferred to the front line:

• plate carriers;

• armored plates;

• tactical unloading belts;

• cars (all-wheel drive pickups) and mud tires for them;

• ambulance and medical stretchers;

• walkie-talkies;

• tactical mats;

• Starlink terminals;

• Bandra Power 225S multi-channel fast charging and autonomous lighting unit;

• sneakers, ankle boots, gloves, backpacks;

• night vision monoculars;

• drones;

• shoulder bags;

• batteries for KamAZ;

• winter form;

• etc.

Internally displaced people

People who lost their homes and sense of security in their hometowns and were forced to move to a new region are taking a special place in our activity. Every day, we hand over dozens of packages of baby formula, medicines, sweets, hygiene products, money for medicines, utility bills, winter clothes, etc. Families with children, as well as persons with disabilities, older people, and women whose breadwinners died or went missing because of the war, can count on our support.
